BMW Crank Case Vent Valves as Preventative Maintenance

Some model BMW’s have an ugly issue with their Crank Case Ventilation Valves. These valves are involved with the ventilation and recycling of burned fuel. A proper function case will regulate carbon emissions, maintain miles per gallon, and allow the engine to run smoothly as a whole.

Some sign that your crank case ventilation valves are malfunctioning or failing is hearing a whirring drone-like noise from the engine. Also, sometimes you may notice MPG performance decrease.

Whether your BMW has thins problem currently, or if your BMW is a model that is known to have these problems, you’ll want to fix this issue as soon as possible. In the case you haven’t run into this issue, it’s smart to get it checked and, depending upon mileage of your vehicle, get the crank case ventilation valves replaced as a preventative measure.
